the city of jos,nigeria was greeted with cries,hurt and disbelieve when news of child brutality polluted the area.february 14,one mrs alimaseun had dressed her baby and was having a perfect day when an unknown get rich quit believer came like a scourging sun and eluded her joy. her baby was sitting at the balcony waiting for her to get dressed and take him to school when supposedly uncle sam came dancing like a circus freak to the unsuspecting innocent boy.mrs alimaseun recounts that she could hear her baby uncontrollably laughing out loud while she cleaned the over applied MARY KAY powder on her oily face that morning. she thought it was their funny 3hundred level mass comm neighbor who always played ''i go die'' to her son so she didnt bother to come out and see who the humor merchant was. she was about dropping her mascara when the laughs suddenly stopped. she called his name but silence answered,called again and yet silence answered,she jumps out and realises that the gate covering her 4feet fenced apartment was open,thats when she went nuts.she ran out and saw a man trying to start a motorcycle.on seeing her,he abandons the bike and takes to his heels,she shouted for help but the semi deserted settlement had no one on the streets as all houses around the rayfield area of jos are characteristically fenced,she joins in pursuit. the suspect running with a school bag gets to the mai-adiko junction and begins to work believing he had outran the woman forgetting that when it comes to child matters,a mother does not give up,atleast a good mother.she jugs to the junction and begins to scream thief!!!! killer!!! snatcher!!!! while the suspect walked calmly.she points towards his direction but the crowd would not stop him, thinking he wasnt the referred. a soldier seeing her seriousness stops the man and commands him to wait for the woman.she comes coughing and crying profusely hard that she could not make a clear accusation thereby drawing the attention of passers by to the military check point. minutes of mixed reactions from the soldier calmed her down and told her to talk. she screams;-this man has my son!! the suspect cuts in and says, shes delusional,infact i have already alerted the family doctor,he says. she screams i dont know you,he says martha calm down!! shaking and crying she says,i dont know you,where's my son!!! he nervously smiles..the soldier asks,what's in your bag? clothes,yes officer yams and clothes he replies.i have boarded ''the young shall grow'' 1st bus and now i'm officially late he adds. she screams open it!!, woman u crazy,do u know how many hours it took to pack things up..she falls to the ground,officer please let him open it,she pleads..on seeing her rolling on the floor i stopped my whatsapp chat and quickly opened my camera to wow my youtube fans,little did i know that the contents of the bag would propel tears from my eyes.the video above explains the rest as i couldnt wait to see where the guy would be taken or what the angry mob would do to him.i had to report to work but my camera did have a feast...God help nigeria.i will complete this unfortunate true story in my next post. stay tuned...bleeding heart..varnity
