''I want to thank you the great people of Plateau State for honoring me with your vote on the 11th of April. You stood in the sun and sometimes it was not easy but it did not matter because you thought this time around we had to fight hard to secure our future whatever it might take.
I am deeply moved by the expression of confidence from all three senatorial zones, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am immensely grateful to the family, friends, and loyal supporters who so generously contributed their time and effort to our campaign during this very long election season.
This victory is just the beginning of the change we seek. It is the chance for us to make that change that we fought for in this election. And that can only happen with a new spirit and without going back to the way things were.
This change will start by us resisting the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and ethnic and immaturity that has poisoned our politics throughout this campaign. Let's embrace each other as one Plateau and forge ahead to build a brighter future for Plateau State and our dear country Nigeria.
And to those whose support I earned, to the people who gave me their votes and those who's support I am yet to earn, I may not have won some of your votes on the 11th of April, but I hear your voices. I need your help. And I will be your governor, too.
This is our time to make Nigeria and Plateau State great again.
Thank you, God bless you. God bless Plateau State and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Change has come''. he said
